Trial is underway for a Casper man accused of sex crimes against minors during the course of the past 40 years.

Sixty-five year old Desmond Triplett has pleaded not guilty to three counts of immoral acts with a minor and three counts of second degree sexual abuse of a minor (charges were amended from when the case was first filed in court).

Investigators with the Casper Police Department say as early as 1975, Triplett was buying gifts for some victims, provided alcohol to others, and even helped one try to run away from home.

In some cases, he expected certain sexual favors in return.

When interviewed, Triplett denied touching any victims or providing alcohol, and had no explanation in other cases.

His trial is scheduled for five days and he could face up to 10 years in prison on each of the immoral acts with a minor charges, and up to 20 years in prison on each of the second degree sexual abuse of a minor charges if convicted.
