Cowgirl Basketball Season Comes to a Close

The Wyoming Cowgirl basketball team lost to UC-Davis on Sunday afternoon in Laramie 74-64 at the 2nd round of the WNIT to end their season at 22-11. UC-Davis was on fire offensively shooting an astounding 58% from the field, going 28-48 from the floor and 11-11 from the line. The Aggies were led by Morgan Bertsch with 26 points on 11-16 from the field, so needless to say UW did not have an answer for her. The Cowgirls were led by Liv Roberts who ended her UW career with 23 points and amassed 1201 points in her time in Laramie. The Cowgirls did make 9, 3 pointers in the game but were outrebounded by 8. A year ago, the Cowgirls were eliminated in the 2nd round of the WNIT by Washington State and finished this season with 4 losses in their last 6 games.
