The Natrona County Commission on Tuesday approved the creation of a subdivision on 27.4 acres owned by Enerflex Energy Systems Inc.north of Casper.

County development director Jason Gutierrez told commissioners the area near Bar Nunn had already been developed with buildings and partially paved roads by the Calgary, Alberta Canada-based Enerflex, which was merged with Toromont Energy Systems in 2010.

Enerflex shut down its natural gas equipment operation there in June 2013.

Gutierrez said subdividing the land would better enable the company to sell its property, which is bordered by Renauna Avenue, Melodi Lane, North Salt Creek Highway and Andy Road..

The proposal received the approval of the county's Planning and Zoning Commission in March after Gutierrez's department determined the subdivision would conform to land use regulations.
