CLIMB Wyoming, the job training and placement program for single moms, opens it's doors next Tuesday to anyone interested in learning more about what they do.

Karen Hardin is a program coordinator for CLIMB in Casper and she says an important element to CLIMB Wyoming that sets them apart is that they offer a full range of assistance.

"We actually help the women find jobs and place them in those jobs. We reimburse the employers for a period of time when they first start working to get them that on-the-job training experience. So we partner with local businesses to do that."

She says parenting and life skills support are also an important part of what they do.

CLIMB moved into larger Casper facilities in June, "So we have a whole new office space. We have new classrooms, new group rooms. It's able to accommodate two separate programs running simultaneously, if that's happening. We were working with thirty women per year and this year we're shooting for fifty."

Training programs include office careers, Certified Nursing Assistant, short-haul trucking and welding.

The informational meeting happens at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 9, at the CLIMB Wyoming Casper Office, 900 Werner Ct., Suite 100.
