A Cheyenne woman who stole more than $2,400 worth of prescription drugs from her employer in January was sentenced Friday in Laramie County District Court to two years of probation.

Antonia Sharp was arrested on Jan. 23 after a Laramie County Sheriff's deputy investigating a DUI case found her passed out behind the wheel of her truck with her 6-year-old in the cab.

Subsequent searches of Sharp's truck and home revealed that she had multiple prescriptions of hydrocodone, oxycodone, liquid morphine and other drugs, none of which were prescribed to her.

Sharp pleaded guilty on May 11 to possession with intent to deliver hydrocodone, admitting that she took the "discontinued medications" from Granite Rehabilitation and Wellness to "deliver to a friend."

In exchange for her plea, the state agreed to dismiss the other charges against her.

Sharp didn't qualify for first offender status, but she may be able to expunge the conviction in ten years if she successfully completes probation.
