CAEDA Announces Scott Sutherland CEO

The CAEDA Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Scott Sutherland has been selected as President and Chief Executive Officer of CAEDA. Mr. Sutherland has over 14 years of experience in economic development in Wyoming, including President of Goshen County Economic Development and Vice President of Cheyenne LEADS. He has served on many Boards during his career, including Federal Home Loan Bank of Seattle Advisory Council, Wyoming Economic Development Association and several others. Mr. Sutherland is very active in all aspects of economic development within Wyoming. He has successfully created and managed several multi million dollar projects in both the private and public sectors.
Mr. Sutherland graduated from Casper College and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Wyoming. In addition, he has completed the course work necessary for a Master’s Degree with an emphasis on marketing from the University of Wyoming. Mr. Sutherland has attended economic development financing training through the International Economic Development Council and has been an instructor for business management and finance classes at Eastern Wyoming Community College.
Mr. Sutherland is a native of Wyoming, born and raised in Casper, has served 27 years in the Wyoming Army National Guard, has 7 children and step children. He is married to Jill Sutherland. He and his family enjoy most activities Wyoming has to offer.
It is anticipated that Mr. Sutherland will start his new role before year end.
