In partnership with Charter cable, C-SPAN’s 2014 Cities Tour has taken Book TV and American History TV on the road and has landed in Casper, Wy. C-SPAN2 and C-SPAN3 are featuring the literary life and history of Casper during a weekend in August on the public affairs network.

Working with Charter cable in the Casper community, the C-SPAN production team of 3 have been around town in their specially outfitted Local Content Vehicles. The team has been visiting various literary and historic sites to interview local historians, authors and civic leaders over the past three days.

Visits around town have included time spent at the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center, Ft Caspar, the Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo along with a number of other sites. Ashley Hill, producer/representative for C-Span, joined Brian Scott this morning to talk about the highlights of her first visit to Wyoming.

Ashley and her colleagues will be in the Casper area through tomorrow midday and then off to Cheyenne for a similar visit.

For a look at the stories and events recorded in Casper, check out Book TV (on C-SPAN2, Charter channel 20) and history channel American History TV (on C-SPAN3, Charter channel 113) on August 16 and 17, 2014. C-SPAN is available in Casper on Charter channel 15.
