Amber Roberts Sentenced For Stealing Money

A Casper woman has been sentenced for stealing money from her place of employment and her friend.

Amber Roberts has been sentenced to three-to-five and one-half years in prison, after pleading no contest to one charge of larceny and four counts of forgery.

According to prosecutors,  in August,  Roberts was voiding transactions and pocketing the money from the cash registers at Macy's.

Several days before that, prosecutors say she stole several checks from her friend and used them to make various purchases.

Roberts has also been ordered to pay $1,400 in restitution.
