The Winter Olympics recently ended, and the Summer Games will be held in 2016.

Meanwhile, Wyoming will have it's own games later this year.

The Cowboy State Games disappeared in 2007 due to lack of funding, but returned last year as the Wyoming State Games.

It's a number of amateur athletic competitions, based on Olympic sports.

Shawn Powell, the Director of the Wyoming State Games, says there will be 15 events for competitors to showcase their skills in.

"The whole idea is that a person can come to the state games, do a competition, and then if they medal in our state games, they are eligible now to compete in the State Games of America, and the next event like that will be in 2015 in Lincoln."

The Wyoming State Games will be held in June, in Casper.
