Tyler Russell Pleads Guilty To Sex Crimes With A Minor
A Casper man who once taught at a school, has admitted he had sexual contact with a then-14 year old girl.
Twenty-four year old Tyler Russell has pleaded guilty to two counts of third degree sexual abuse of a minor.
Police began an investigation after concern was raised by the victim’s mother, who said she had observed explicit conversation and numerous nude photos that had been exchanged over online social networking.
Police say during an interview with Russell, he admitted having sexual relations with the victim, between October and December of 2013.
As a part of a plea deal, prosecutors will seek no more than a three-to-12 year prison sentence.
Russell is free on $10,000 bond and will be sentenced at a later date.
Natrona County School District Officials said at the time of Russell's arrest, that the Centennial Jr. High teacher was not being permitted on school property and was not allowed contact with the students.
