Former Albany School District Employee Accused of Sexual Assault
A 25-year-old man accused of sexual assault in the Rock River area was arrested in Minnesota last Wednesday.
The alleged perpetrator, whose identity has not been released, has been charged with four separate counts of third-degree sexual abuse of a minor.
According to the police press release, the suspect was employed with the Albany County School District as a girls’ basketball coach and a physical education instructor. If convicted, the former school district employee could face 15 years in prison for each count of sexual abuse. Currently, the suspect is free on $25,000 bail.
By law, the alleged perpetrator must appear in Albany County Circuit for his initial hearing.
