Wyoming Medical Center has announced that it's President and CEO has made the first ever Becker's Hospital Review List, of 50 Rural Hospital CEOs to know.

Vickie Diamond was named President and CEO of Wyoming Medical Center in 2008 after serving as our chief nursing officer. She is a board member of the American Hospital Association and chairwoman of the AHA Region-8 Policy Board, representing seven Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado.

WMC Spokesperson, Kristy Bleizeffer says that Diamond's service with the AHA makes her very familiar with the needs of rural communities.

"The recognition is a reflection of our accomplishments in serving our rural population  and providing care for our patients," Bleizeffer says.  "As well as a reflection of Vickie's leadership."

Diamond is one of two Wyoming CEOs included on the list. Rick Schroeder, administrator and CEO of North Big Horn Hospital in Lovell, was also included.

This is the first year that Becker's has compiled such a list.
