Seasonably Warm With Scattered Showers & T-Storms Through Saturday, Turning Cooler & Windy On Sunday & Labor Day

A fast-moving weather system will slide across the state of Wyoming today.  There is also a supply of subtropical moisture that will be transported into the region.  Expect early sunshine today and then clouds will thicken during the afternoon and evening hours.  There will also be a chance for isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms later in the day.  Watch out for gusty winds and brief periods of heavy rain with any storm that develops.  Temperatures will be very mild to warm and near average today, with daytime highs in the 70's and 80's.  An unseasonably strong cool front and weather system will then slowly approach the region on Saturday.  Expect more clouds than sun with redeveloping showers and thunderstorms for the start of the weekend.  Winds will also become strong and gusty later in the evening and overnight hours due to the arrival of this cool front.  Winds could gusts between 35 and 50 mph, with some isolated higher gusts possible.  Temperatures, however, remain seasonably warm.  This cool front and weather system will quickly move out of the region on Sunday and a drier, more stable air-mass will take its place.  We can expect partially clearing skies, noticeably cooler temperatures, and mainly dry conditions (with the exception of higher elevations and the mountains) on Sunday and Labor Day.  Windy conditions will continue on Sunday, especially in the morning, and then winds will be not as strong by Labor Day.
