Have you heard the story on nuts? They’re good for us. Nuts have a unique combination of healthy omega 3 fats, protein and fiber so they help you feel full faster and stay full longer. And research shows that eating them keeps our arteries flexible, lowers cholesterol and boosts brain and heart health without causing weight gain. But "Healthy" doesn’t mean “GO FOR IT” as you mindlessly munch from the can in front of the TV.

Some of the best things come in small packages. Just a handful gives you those health benefits. That’s about 14 walnut halves, 23 almonds or 32 peanuts. See? not many! And I’m talking about raw or roasted, not honey-glazed or candy coated. Bake them in a 350 degree oven to 10 -12 minutes to retain the healthy fats. Try some walnuts with a couple dried apricots for a snack.
