Have you ‘gone green?  Spring is the time. Most of us turn right when we enter a grocery store. And that’s good news because it usually propels you to the produce department. Green means go, So push your cart toward the green food – kale, broccoli, Brussels sprouts or cabbage. These foods turn up your immune system to disable toxins which help break down cancer-causing chemicals.

Ideas to get you going…

  • Shred cabbage and toss with fresh chopped oranges a little rice wine vinegar and toasted sesame oil and serve as a salad.
  • Chop broccoli into florets, toss with olive oil and a squeeze of lemon juice. roast in 450 degree oven for 20 minutes.
  • Be careful not to overcook cabbage. It’s sulfur that you smell, so eat it raw or cook it quickly for the least “stink”
