Yellowstone National Park officials will close public access to the North Rim Drive of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone on Wednesday morning, according to a news release from the park on Monday.

Park crews will use a helicopter to haul 25 loads of 1,000 pounds of rock each for a construction project in the area from 5 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
The project continues the work of the Canyon Rim renovation and restoration efforts started in 2016.
Work crews will conduct the operation from the parking lot of the Brink of the Lower Falls.
Yellowstone trails staff will monitor the surrounding public access point barricades during the operation.
Road information can be found on the park website at go.nps.gov/YellRoads. The map on that page will be updated as conditions change.
