Wyoming's biggest blood drive is scheduled for Wednesday, July 25th from 10 AM to 6PM. The blood drive will take place at United Blood Services office at 1414 East A St. T shirts will be given to every donor participating as well as hot dogs and chips for all that  attend. Prize drawings will occur every hour and include prizes from Home Depot, Riddles Jewelry, Walmart and others.

In the summer, when temperatures soar, community blood supplies can evaporate. Blood centers keep their commitment to patients when donors provide enough lifesaving blood. Unfortunately, during the hot months of the year, donors can be in short supply. Many are on vacation or out having fun in the sun.

The demand for blood is constant, even in the summer months. It’s important that people take some time out of their busy schedules to donate during June, July or August to help maintain a safe and plentiful supply of blood for our community.

Blood can be stored for only 42 days, so new donations are needed continually. To make sure patients have blood when they need it, we invite all current donors to give at least three times a year, and they invite anyone who hasn’t given in a while – as well as brand new donors – to join them.

Make your appointment online to give blood or call (307) 237-2328. With each donation, donors receive a free total cholesterol test and earn points in United Blood Services’ Hero in Me rewards program.
