Wyoming Governor Issues Flag Order To Honor Former Legislator
Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon has issued an order for some state flags to be flown at half-staff Monday in honor of a former state lawmaker who recently died.
The governor's office issued the following statement on Thursday, Dec.12:
''CHEYENNE, Wyo. - Governor Mark Gordon has ordered the Wyoming State Flag be flown at half staff at the Capitol in Cheyenne and in Converse County from sunrise to sunset on December 16, 2019 in honor of Richard Cannady. Mr. Cannady served in the Wyoming House of Representatives from 2009-2016 and passed away December 9, 2019.
Please note that this notice is only for the Wyoming State Flag and only at two locations in the state - at the Capitol Building and in Converse County. Other flags should remain at full-staff."
