What’s In A Wyoming Name? – Farson
Wyoming’s early history is dominated by people who believed the young state could grow and prosper. But grand plans alone were not enough: it took money to make big ideas gel. One of those early backers was a Chicago broker, John Farson, who started one of the state’s first reclamation and irrigation projects in Sweetwater County. He made it possible for the Eden Valley to thrive – and gave a name to Farson, Wyoming.
