What’s In A Wyoming Name? – David Street
Many Wyoming places are named for the wealthy and powerful. Edward David worked for one of them – Joseph Carey, one of the state’s first US senators and governors. He married a cousin of Carey’s wife and managed Carey’s huge CY Ranch, on land that’s now the city of Casper. Historians say he also played a role in the Johnson County war – cutting telegraph lines. He played his own role in Natrona County history – and gave a name to David Street, Casper, Wyoming.
