Warm With Scattered Showers & T-Storms, Smaller Chance For T-Storms on Thursday

A weak high pressure system will remain settled over the state of Wyoming today, which will keep temperatures warm and close to normal.  Southwesterly winds will also transport monsoonal moisture into the region.  Expect early sunshine with thickening clouds for the rest of the day.  Scattered showers and thunderstorms are also expected statewide.  Any storm that develops could be capable of producing small hail, gusty winds, and heavy rain.  Expect daytime highs in the 80's to lower 90's.  This high pressure system will then strengthen over the region on Thursday and we begin to lose our supply of monsoonal moisture.  We will see more sun than clouds and a smaller chance for showers and thunderstorms.  Temperatures will also remain warm and close to normal, with daytime highs in the 80's and 90's.  An upper-level weather system and cool front will approach the region on Friday, which will bring cooler temperatures and a better chance for showers and thunderstorms to northern and central Wyoming.  Meanwhile, very warm to hot temperatures and hit or miss shower and thunderstorm activity continues across southern Wyoming for the end of the work week.
