Vehicle Crashes into House in Casper
UPDATE (9 p.m.):
One person was reportedly injured Thursday night when a pickup truck crashed into a home in the area of K Street and St. John Street.
Three juveniles were in the truck. Police and firefighters at the scene say one person in the pickup suffered injuries that were not life-threatening. Firefighters said the injured person may not even have been taken to the hospital.
Nobody was inside the house at the time of the crash. Police and firefighters responded to the scene.
The crash, reported by Casper Fire-EMS shortly after 8 p.m., damaged water and gas lines inside the home.
Gas had to be ventilated from the home before the pickup could be moved. Firefighters said that process had been completed as they prepared to move the pickup at roughly 8:45 p.m.
Police said a mechanical failure on the pickup truck may have contributed to the crash.
K Street remained closed between St. John Street and Kimball Street shortly before 9 p.m.
