Tracie Montoya Charged With Taking Money From Kohl’s Store
A Casper woman is accused of taking money from the register where she worked.
Forty-three year old Tracie Montoya has been charged with one count of theft.
Casper Police say from middle September through middle November, loss prevention agent at Kohl's got a confession from Montoya that she had taken nearly $4,000 from the company.
Montoya said she would either make a no sale at the register and pocket some money, or she would pocket money when a customer made a large purchase in cash.
When interviewed she said she had fallen on hard times financially
Montoya is free on a $5,000 PR bond, and could face up to 10 years in prison if convicted.
