Governor Mark Gordon has rescinded a State of Emergency that was declared regarding COVID-19. On Monday, the Governor signed an Executive Order rescinding the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency.

It also authorizes the Wyoming National Guard to aid localities where there is a threat or danger to public health or safety.

Ricketts says he's been in frequent contact with Wyoming Gov. Mark Gordon and state lawmakers from the area.

District officials say it is a temporary plan to save this year's harvest of corn, sugar beets and other crops.

Following the order, the Office of Homeland Security is assisting in Fremont, Teton and Washakie counties.
