Albany County Emergency Management says its Public Warning System is "working as expected," even though no emergency sirens sounded during Tuesday afternoon's Tornado Warning.

So, if you hear the sirens this morning or in the early afternoon, know it's just a test and no actual emergency is occurring.

Don't be alarmed if your phone goes off around 12:18pm on Wednesday.

There were reports that two people received minor injuries.

Technicians have been conducting diagnostic tests with the actual siren offline to reduce the inconvenience to the community in case of a malfunction.
