Trout numbers were less than 400 per mile before the flush and flow projects were implemented. The population is now at an average of more than 3,500 per mile.

Casper City Council on Tuesday approved the replat and rezoning of a small subdivision along the North Platte River, and several major capital expenditures including a new fire station -- both in the western part of town.
The North Platte River doesn't run through Casper like it did earlier this year.
