It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Casper and there are only a few more sleeps before this year's Christmas Parade and Celebration in Downtown Casper, taking place on Saturday, November 27.

Walmart, Target, and other major retail stores have announced that they will, in fact, be closed on Thanksgiving Day.

After taking suggestions from the public, and bringing them before City Council, the Chamber of Commerce has announced that this year's parade theme is 'Christmas at the Movies.'

The Casper Area Chamber of Commerce wants your ideas for what the theme of this year's Christmas parade should be.

'I lost my grandpa on December 14 to COVID. He battled for over a month. I got it to protect my family and community, so hopefully they don’t have to lose a loved one. It gives me peace of mind that, as a nurse being exposed to the virus, I’m doing what I can to protect everyone else around me.'

While Wyoming is reindeerless, it has other deer species including white-tailed deer, mule deer, elk and moose.

Packing away all of your holiday gear can be kind of a drag, but at least with great storage solutions, it can be easy. Christmas clean up is a breeze when you’ve got the right tools!

“As a parent, it means a lot,” she said with tears in her eyes. “You struggle to try and give your kids everything and then, when you can’t give them something on Christmas, it breaks your heart. To be able to have an opportunity to get that, and then you don’t have to feel like a bad parent, it’s amazing. It’s a great feeling.”

Tis the season for helping Casper kids – as the Stuff The Van Toy Drive returns for year #23 - December 14th through the 19th, presented by Greiner Ford, Powered by Lithia.

“It became a case of ‘Could we do this?’ Well, I knew we could. Then, it was a quick phone call to my wife, and I asked her, ‘Should we do this?’ And she said ‘Yes, we should.’ So, would we do this? Yes, we will.”
