The Wyoming Supreme Court has ruled in a case involving the contested sale of ranch land donated to The University of Wyoming and Colorado State University.

The High Court ruled against a Woman who had sued to block the sale of the Y-Cross Ranch in South Eastern Wyoming. Amy Davis had donated the ranch to the UW and CSU Foundations in 1997, but when the Foundations attempted to sell the land, she wanted to block the sale saying that the lands had not been used for their intended purposes.

The Supreme Court ruled that Davis lacks standing to contest the plans by the foundations to sell the ranch.

University of Wyoming spokesperson, Chad Baldwin, says that UW appreciates the courts conclusion, and a decision on the future of the ranch will be coming in the future.  "There will be some discussions that must take place before there's any decisions about about how to proceed, or whether to proceed with a sale of the property."

The Associated Press reports that Davis' attorney, Steve Miller, says the foundations should still reconsider the sale
