Smoke Plume from Badger Creek Fire Can Be Seen in Space [PHOTO]
Forest fires can be devastating to land, structures, and wildlife. They affect the surrounding areas for miles and miles. At NASA, they recently shared a satellite image of the recent Badger Creek Fire. It gives us a global perspective of this natural disaster.
This photo is from NASA's Aqua satellite that capture this image of the giant smoke plume on June 11th at 11:30 AM MDT. As of publication time of this story, the fire has grown to 7,034 acres. The smoke, as we can see from this image, can be seen from space.
