One last piece of advice from  Tax Advisor Keith Hall who  says there are things you can start to do now to make the job of filing easier next year. He says the main thing is to start early and plan.

"So many potential tax deductions like the business use of your car, a home office deduction, if you have the ability to hire a family member to make some of those expenses more deductible, you need to start those now."

He says you can't turn the clock back if you didn't plan ahead.

Hall says as your doing your 2011 return take time to do some research. Use the many available on-line resources to find new potential deductions that you can track starting today, because that's the best way to reduce your taxes next year.
