Road Impact Forecast for Tuesday, April 26 [VIDEO]

A large trough of low pressure continues to be settled over the entire Rockies and Plains today.  Expect cloudy to mostly cloudy skies, breezy to gusty winds, and colder than normal temperatures statewide.  High temperatures will stay in the 30's and 40's.  There will also be a chance for snow or a rain/snow mix.  The heaviest precipitation will occur through mid-day and will then start to taper off during the afternoon and evening hours.  Visibility will be reduced to poor at times due to snowfall, blowing snow, and areas of fog.  Roads will also be wet to slick and very slushy statewide.  Much of the state will then be in between weather systems on Wednesday.  Expect just a small chance for snow or mixed showers in southwestern and northeastern portions of the state.  Roads will stay mainly wet during the day, but watch out for developing black ice at night.  Otherwise, expect partially clearing skies, colder than normal temperatures, and mainly dry weather conditions.  Another round of cold and unsettled weather will arrive by Thursday.
