Cheyenne Police say 58 cars were towed for parking illegally during Cheyenne Frontier Days 2019.

Most of the illegally parked vehicles were towed from the Avenues area near Frontier Park.

That figure is one statistic include in a news release from the Cheyenne Police Department on enforcement efforts by the CPD during the recently-concluded 10-day western celebration. The report also says that while CFD security handled most of the incidents reported at Frontier Park, local police still responded to 65 calls for service, including 8 fights, 3 accidents, 4 reports of counterfeit bills and two reports of sexual battery.

Police are still looking for witnesses in one of the sexual battery cases. That case involves 36-year-old Felipe Catalina-Juarez of Mexico, who is accused of touching the crotch of an adult female who was riding the Zero Gravity ride. Police also dealt with numerous reports of underage drinking, making 289 age verification contacts and issuing 14 citations for underage drinking.

Final numbers for some of the police activity during CFD are still being collected.
