One person is dead after being involved in a three-vehicle wreck in Park County.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol says not long before 4pm on Tuesday, May 5th, 81-year old Clarence Andersen of Lovell, was driving his vehicle eastbound on US Highway 14A about eight miles northeast of Cody, when he veered across the center line and into the opposite lanes of travel.

He collided head-on with another vehicle driven by 76-year old Ivan Christopherson of Cody, and then his car spun into another vehicle, driven by 77 year old Shirley Wall of Cody, whose vehicle ended up rolling one and one-half times.

The patrol says Christopherson was wearing his seat-belt, but sustained fatal injuries on scene.

The other two drivers were taken to a hospital to be treated for their injuries.

Driver inattention is being investigated as a contributing factor in the crash.
