CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — A 10-foot menorah will be lit at the Wyoming Capitol building next week in celebration of Hanukkah.

The Chabad (khah-BAHD') Jewish Center of Wyoming said the menorah will be lit on Dec. 27 at noon, the seventh day of the eight-day celebration. Two Holocaust survivors are expected to attend. Dancing and singing will follow and food including potato pancakes and jelly doughnuts will be served.

Hanukkah begins Tuesday night and a special lighting ceremony is planned in Washington near the White House.

The Jewish Festival of Lights commemorates the miracle of the menorah burning for eight days when there was enough oil to burn for just one.
