WalMart on East Grand in Laramie has been evacuated due to a bomb threat.

An investigation remains underway and the store will remain closed until further notice. If you're in the area please be aware of emergency vehicles.

News Director Eldridge Bell reports the following:

This afternoon at 12:46 p.m., Walmart contacted the Laramie Police Department stating there was a bomb threat. Laramie Police Department Public Relations Officer, Lt. Smith stated that the threat was very specific in nature, so officers immediately evacuated the store.

The Laramie Police Bomb Squad along with the UW Police "bomb dog" are currently searching the premises. The Laramie County Sherrif's Department and Fire Department are on scene in an assisting capacity.

Homeland Security and the FBI have been alerted to this threat and will be involved in the ongoing investigation. No other details can be released at this time, but we will have more information as it becomes available. In addition all roads that lead to the entrance of WalMart will remain closed until a thorough sweep of the premise is conducted.
