Kitty Cornell Given Probation For Taking Money From Apartment Tennants
A former apartment manager now has to payback money that was not hers.
Kitty Cornell was given a three-to-five year suspended prison sentence, with four years of probation, after pleading guilty to one charge of felony larceny by bailee.
She admitted that from August 2011 through April of 2012, she was taking rent money from tenants at the Village Gardens Apartments, because she had a gambling problem.
When the management group of the apartments called to have certain tenants evicted for being behind on their rent, Cornell confessed to her deed.
In all, she admitted taking more than $22,000…most of which was used at casinos in Las Vegas, Deadwood and Riverton.
Cornell has also been banned from gambling, and from entering any gambling facility.
