HEDQUIST FILED THE SUIT AGAINST THE CURRENT COUNCILMAN WALSH IN OCTOBER 2016, AFTER HE LEARNED FORMER CITY MANAGER JOHN PATTERSON ASKED WALSH TO USE A POLICE RECORDS SYSTEM TO SEARCH FOR INFORMATION TO KEEP HEDQUIST FROM BEING ELECTED TO ANOTHER TERM.
