The Gillette Riders have a big advantage playing at home in the Legion Baseball Northwest Regional and got off on the right foot with a 4-2 win over Bellevue, Washington on Wednesday night. Rider's pitcher Mason Drube gave up 2 runs and 3 hits in 4 innings and Grayson Sargent threw innings and did not give up a run.

Gillette scored 3 runs in the 2nd inning with Brady Richards finishing the night going 1-3 with 2 RBIs and a run scored. The Riders struck out just 5 times in the game while Bellevue struck out 10 times.

With the adjusted schedule for Thursday due to some incoming weather, Gillette's winner's bracket game with Rocky Mountain from Fort Collins will be in the 6 pm range. This is a double-elimination tournament and the winner advances to the American Legion World Series in Shelby, North Carolina.
