I'll admit that I'm not a person that likes to waste a bunch of time cleaning. There are certain parts I hate more than others. Cleaning the toilet and sink in the bathroom are pretty easy. Cleaning the shower is horrible and washing the bed linens is toward the bottom of my favorites list. I know it has to be done, but washing sheets takes a big chunk out of your daily routine, but it's worth it in the end.

Going to sleep on freshly washed sheets is great and you'll get some of the best sleep on those clean sheets. Even though that's a great feeling, it still doesn't change the fact I hate washing them.

I've noticed lately that my house has been noticeably more dusty than normal. I haven't had my windows open as much as earlier in the year and the flow of air hasn't been as great.

My bedside table has a lamp and when looking at the lamp yesterday, I could easily write a research paper in the amount of dust it had on it. Seeing that made me take a look at my sheets, which in turn wasn't a good idea.

I've always been a MAYBE once to twice a month sheet-washer. After seeing the dust in my house, I may be turning into a once a week sheet-washer.

With the drier climate here in Wyoming, we are asking for more dust in our house if we're not adding a little humidity to the air, your going to get a bigger amount of dust. Dry air will dry out your skin, plants and even fabrics, adding nastiness to the air, furniture and your bed sheets.

When the air is dry, we shed more dead skin and since we spend a good amount of time in bed, our bed is a high dust mite area. You then add, sweat, hair, and other possibilities to our beds, it's a combo of nastiness.

Sheets, blankets, comforters, pillow cases and even pillows need to be cleaned often, like once a week, to keep the dust and allergens from piling up.

It's a pain in the butt washing sheets and there's a good chance you may not be washing them correctly either. Experts say you should ball the sheets up and wash them on the highest temperature the manufacturer recommends. This will take any germs, stains and allergens out of the sheets.
