Celebrate Casper Youth Baseball Opening Day
All across Casper there is a distinct smell in the air. Take a moment to breathe in deeply.
The smell is undeniable.
No, it's not the strong smell of pronghorns or trout.

It's the smell of fresh-cut grass, peanuts, popcorn, and Cracker Jacks. You can even almost hear the sizzle of the hot dogs on the grill and the crack of the bats coming from Casper's Field of Dreams.
It's Baseball Season!
On Saturday, May 3, the Casper Youth Baseball Opening Day celebration is taking place, and it promises to be a great time to gather with coaches, players, parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends.
By the time 10 a.m. on the 3rd rolls around, kids will already be antsy about school ending and summer fun beginning. One of those fun activities is baseball.
Casper Youth Baseball has been inspiring and helping youngsters find a love for baseball, teamwork, and reponsibility since 1953. Over 600 kids from the Casper area are given the opportunity to play baseball each summer.
If you've ever played with CYB, had a kid who has played, coached, umpired, or just watched games through the years, you know how exciting and important opening day is. It's going to be an action-packed day, so plan to stick around and root, root, root for the kids.
I remember when I first put on that baseball uniform when I was 8, at that point in my life, it was the best feeling in the world. Good luck to all of the players, coaches, umpires, families, and support staff this summer.
