This year's Ribfest kicked off with splash and a dash for a good cause.

Cheyenne Mayor Rick Kaysen dumped a bucket full of Wyoming Whiskey on top of long-time ALS Volunteer Larry Kaplan as part of his 50 in 30 challenge.

The challenge has Larry going to all 50 states in 30 days to get a bucket full of state specific whatever drenched all over him.

In Wyoming, he got one of the best Wyoming treats possible, Wyoming Whiskey. This was probably much better than the Rocky Mountain oyster or coal alternatives.

Larry is trying to bring awareness to ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) aka Lou Gehrig's disease, which is described as a "progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord."

Follow Larry and see what he get's put on his noggin next.
