Desmond Triplett Pleads Not Guilty To Sex Crimes
A Casper man accused of sexual abuse of minors during the course of the past 40 years, has entered a plea in court.
Sixty-four year old Desmond Triplett has pleaded not guilty to four counts of immoral acts with a minor, two counts of first degree sexual abuse of a minor, and one count of second degree sexual abuse of a minor.
Investigators with the Casper Police Department say as early as 1975, Triplett was buying gifts for some victims, provided alcohol to others, and even helped one try to run away from home.
In some cases, he expected certain sexual favors in return.
When interviewed, Triplett denied the touching any victims or providing alcohol, and had no explanation in other cases.
He is free on $25,000 bond awaiting trial, and could face between 25-to-50 years in prison on the first degree sexual abuse of a minor charge, up to 20 years in prison on the second degree sexual abuse of a minor charge, and up to 10 years in prison on each of the indecent liberties with a minor charge, if convicted.
