CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Secretary of State Max Maxfield says the Constitution Party has gained access to Wyoming's general election ballot this fall.

Maxfield says the Constitution Party got on the ballot as a provisional party by collecting 3,740 signatures of registered voters.

Maxfield says there are now five political parties represented on the ballot. That is the most since the 2000 general election.

He says it's possible that additional parties may qualify for the ballot prior to the June 1 deadline for submitting petitions to the secretary of state's office.

So far, the parties qualifying to be on the state's November ballot are the Republican, Democratic, Libertarian, Americans Elect and Constitution Party.
