Cheyenne Frontier Days General Chairman Jimmy Dean Siler says construction on their new multi-purpose building at Frontier Park is almost halfway done.

"I'd say we're pretty close," said Siler. "We're starting to put sheetrock and stuff in."

CFD officially broke ground on the roughly $7 million project on Aug. 7.

Once completed, the three-story building will house the General Committee and staff and provide much-needed meeting space for CFD volunteers.

"I think it's going to be a fantastic addition to Frontier Park," said Siler.

Siler says barring any unforeseen circumstances, the building will be ready for this year's show.
