Cause Found in Accident that Killed 3
The Wyoming Highway Patrol is blaming a blown tire on a tractor-trailer for an accident that killed three people in a three-vehicle crash east of Cheyenne.
Troopers say the tractor-trailer crossed the median and slammed into two minivans in the opposite lanes of Interstate 80 on Nov. 8.
Investigators say 44-year-old James Ednie and one of his passengers, 41-year-old Tanya Gooden, both of Cheyenne, were in the second minivan that was hit and were killed in the crash. Another of Ednie's passengers, 23-year-old Cameron Gooden, died the following day.
Two people in the tractor-trailer and one person in the first minivan that was struck were injured. They have since been released from the hospital.
