BREAKING: Minor Injuries in Single-Vehicle Rollover Crash in Casper
The driver of a Chevrolet Impala suffered only minor injuries Tuesday evening when her car rolled onto its side on Collins next to Three Crowns Golf Course.
The crash, which occurred shortly after 7 p.m., saw the Impala hit three large landscaping rocks on the north side of Collins, losing a tire before it rolled onto its side. The driver was apparently able to exit the vehicle through the sunroof.
Police and Casper Fire-EMS responded, briefly closing Collins to traffic between Locust and 13th Street. The driver was checked out at the scene and cooperated with the investigating officer.
The driver agreed to take a portable breath test, which showed she had no alcohol in her system.
Officers at the scene said another vehicle was somehow involved, though the crash did not result from a collision between the two vehicles. The driver reportedly admitted to driving a bit more quickly than she should have.
Police will have to complete a crash report before more details are made available to the public.
