The 25th annual  American Petroleum Institute's Chili Cook-Off  is coming up this Saturday, and this year the event is being dedicated to K2 Radio's Brian Scott, Gamroth who was killed last fall in a motorcycle accident. Brian was involved with the Chili Cook-off from its beginnings at the Fairgrounds Industrial Building, where it was held until it outgrew the venue.

The theme is "25 Years In Oil And Gas: Let's Make It Boom". It features 45 cooking teams with both red and green chili, and the proceeds will benefit a wide range of Casper charities. "In these 25 years we've donated more than two million dollars to different Casper charities," says Bob Dill of API, and adds they'll also be donating to the Brian Scott Gamroth Community Stage being created downtown at David Street Station.

The event is Saturday, February 18th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.. Admission is $10.00 per person. Due to limited space and safety concerns, no strollers will be allowed on the floor of the events center, and organizers remind you that you'll have to go through the Events Center security so leave your pocket knives and other such items in your vehicle.

"It's the biggest party in Casper," says Dill. "3000 of your best friends will be there, you need to be there."

API will also be selling raffle tickets to for the following: A chance to win $15,000 in total cash prizes, including a $10,000 CASH grand prize! Tickets are $20.00 each with a maximum of 2700 being sold.
