80 Pounds Of Pot Seized In Wyoming I-80 Weed Bust

Sweetwater County Sheriff's deputies seized 80 pounds of marijuana and arrested an Ohio woman following a traffic stop on Interstate 80 on Tuesday afternoon, according to a news release from the agency.

Sheriff Mike Lowell said 34-year-old Ricki Lyn Ludwig, of Brook Park, Ohio, faces two counts of felony drug charges. According to the sheriff, a Sheriff's Office K9 stopped Ludwig in the eastbound lane of I-80 for a traffic violation.

Deputies then said they found a little over 80 pounds of pot in 69 individually-sealed plastic packages in her vehicle, a Toyota Land Cruiser.

Ludwig was released from the Sweetwater County Detention Center after posting a $25,000 cash or surety bond.
