Wet Conditions Through Thursday, Staying Mild All Week

A low pressure system will be settled over California and southwestern portions of the nation today.  This will funnel subtropical moisture into the state of Wyoming.  As a result, cloudy to mostly cloudy skies with rain showers and a few thunderstorms will be likely across central and southern Wyoming.  Expect a smaller chance for precipitation elsewhere.  Areas of patchy fog and lowered visibility will also be possible in southeastern portions of the state later today and overnight.  Temperatures will be cool, but close to average statewide.  Daytime highs will be in the 50's and 60's.  A series of fast-moving weather systems will then push through the region on Wednesday and Thursday.  A weak cool front will also move across the state early on Thursday.  Expect morning clouds and fog with lingering rain showers in southeastern Wyoming on Wednesday.  Clouds will then gradually clear.  However, there will be a chance for redeveloping showers and thunderstorms along southern Wyoming in the afternoon and evening hours.  Meanwhile, conditions stay mainly dry across the rest of the state.  Temperatures will also become slightly warmer and above normal on Wednesday.  We will then see partly sunny skies with a chance for showers and thunderstorms across northern and eastern Wyoming on Thursday.  There will be only a minimal chance for showers and thunderstorms elsewhere.  Temperatures become a few degrees cooler and closer to average.
