Southwesterly winds will keep skies mostly sunny and conditions warm and mainly dry today.  Winds, however, will be strong and gusty throughout the state as a cold front approaches the region.  Most locations will see gusts as high as 40 mph, but some of the wind prone areas of I-25 (Chugwater to Wheatland and Glendo to Casper) and I-80 (Laramie to Rawlins) will see gusts between 40 to 50 mph.  Temperatures will remain near or a few degrees above average today with daytime highs staying in the 80's to lower 90's.    We will then see significantly cooler temperatures and breezy winds statewide on Thursday.  There will be just a small chance for showers and thunderstorms, with far southeastern parts of the state seeing the best chance at night.  Cooler than normal temperatures and a better chance for showers and thunderstorms will be possible on Friday and Saturday.
